That's why I felt the scene in Casino was so great. It took over a decade and beatings in multiple movies but he finally got his revenge.

Even before they were in movies together Vincent and Pesci were a comedy duo. I believe that De Niro might have introduced Scorsese to them, or maybe he just knew them because they were local celebrities.
