Went to see IT yesterday to a packed theatre, and had one of the best cinematic experiences of my life.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I was actually scared several times, which hasn't happened since I was a kid...I thought I was beyond that, but that's how good IT does the job.
Skarsgaard was fantastic as Pennywise...Tim Curry has been outdone. The entire film is so off-putting right from the start. You're uncomfortable for the entire time, never knowing when or in what form IT will appear.
The kids are all phenomenal actors...I was surprised at how unrelenting the film was in it's violence towards them. IT doesn't hold anything back, and I think that's what makes it so great. Nobody is safe from IT.
Highest possible recommendation!
