It will be a massive flop. Hollyweird doesn't know when to stop.

Hmmm I heard rumblings of this 4-5 years ago and it died stillborn then because the suits thought a female led super-hero show would not sell. I guess the success of Wonder Woman has given the suits a willingness to at least take a look at a female led super-hero series, or at least the people who own the property hope it does and are dusting it off to try it again.

I think Supergirl is pretty popular as well so perhaps the time is right for a female led reboot.

Depends on your definition of "popular". The ratings are pretty abysmal, even for a CW show.

With the glut of superheroics on teevee, this is a show I'm surprised someone hasn't already tried to reboot, whether the main character be male or female. If they can maintain the balance of humor and melodrama that the original series had, with the addition of updated vfx, I'd check it out.

I'll already toss out Bruce Campbell as Bill Maxwell; can't think of anyone else who could do it better.

If you're gonna stick with a male lead, I think Misha Collins (Castiel to those of us who watch SPN) would do a great job as he has the talent to walk a very fine line between broad humor, satire and sincerity.

If you're gonna go female, I wouldn't mind seeing Allison Brie or Gillian Jacobs in the suit simply due to the fact that they both have similar acting chops to Misha Collins (plus, c'mon, they'd look might good in that outfit to boot!).

Ahhhh geez----I just read the story that the link lead to. Just disregard everything I typed. If they go the route of what I read, yeah, utter garbage.

I haven't seen a reboot or reimagined show/movie yet that I liked. All the old characters I enjoyed are just being ruined. They can stick this.

That seems to be the conscience. It's not as good as Flash or Arrow but I can still watch it. I have to admit I'm a little disappointed Mxyzptlk didn't wear a bowler in his episode.

this would be the SECOND Greatest America Hero female reboot attempt.

From 1986: The Team - Bill, Ralph, and Pam - say goodbye after Holly takes over the magic jammies. With Robert Culp, William Katt, Connie Sellecca, and Mary ...

That wasn't a reboot, it was going to be a spin off series.

                              a very narrow distinction.
