      Sad news indeed.

Even though my dad had retired from toys, Hans came over to visit and when i was 14, i asked him if he had any Mego left, he said "Oh go see Morris at Parkdale, he's got tons of that stuff" and that's where it all started for me.
I spent a lot of time hanging out at the Pinnochio's at Bridlewood Mall as a kid, while my mom shopped at the other stores in the mall.

at one point in the mid or late eighties, they had the boxed 10" Robin from Parkdale, and some other mego stuff. The Robin was something like eighteen bucks, which seems outrageous. Now I wish I had bought them all.

It's never easy to lose a friend. My condolences and thanks for sharing your stories of him. I never knew where all the great Megos came from but I certainly enjoyed them. We had a cases of each basic Star Trek figures that came from his finds. It was a lot of fun we can all thank him for!

Sorry for your loss. Your tribute was well written and heartfelt, and seems a fitting tribute to someone who bore such an influence upon you.

Very sorry to hear this Brian, I have heard that Dick Tracy story from multiple people, never thought I'd know who it actually was. A true pioneer.
