Lightseekers high tech interactive action figures

Really impressive tech in these figures. Light years beyond the Skylanders and Disney infinity unarticulated figurines.

They are just starting to hit TRU.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Here's a pic of Tyrax for scale. lightseekers.JPG

The Lightseekers figures are articulated but not anywhere near Marvel Legends or MOTUC levels. Neck, ball shoulders, swivel elbows and ball hips. The joints are ratchet and do not have full 360 range of motion because of all of the electronics. Even without the game the figure is fun to play with. Lots of lights, sounds and speech and when you shake them or turn them upside down they'll make different comments. The figures can also recognize what weapons or accessories they are holding. Pushing a button on the fusion core back pack causes the weapon the figure is holding to light up, make sounds and the figure to vibrate slightly. Pretty neat.

Those do look cool. The game itself looks very Skylanders like to me. Which is interesting in that Skylanders seems to be big peg warmers now.

The gameplay is different. There's no levels to complete like Skylanders. It's much more of a traditional RPG with quests and dungeons.
