Wet Hot American Summer Ten Years Later

Anybody catch this? It was a really welcome surprise on my first day of vacation.

However, i found the whole thing a little rushed and obvious that many cast members were only available part time. Adam Scott was a good replacement for Bradley Cooper. The biting humour of the first two WHAS projects was kind of hit or miss, often times it was replaced with melodrama.

Yeah, I watched it last week. Not as good as the movie and first series, but I like absurd humour and there was a good amount here, so I was entertained. Explaining Bradley Cooper's replacement by Adam Scott with a nose job got a laugh out of me. The amount of cast members is getting a bit unwieldy, look at all the people on the promotional "poster" for the series.

And hey, hope you enjoy your vacation!

I did, vacation ended too soon but was necessary.

I still enjoyed the show but I think the last series had a lot more going for it.

Oh yeah, the first one was definitely better, I think I might revisit that one.

I only watched the first ep - so far I'm just excited it's back.

Haven't looked at it yet, but I expect it to be one of those "well, I'm just glad it exists, so I'll take it!" kind of things.

I'm in the club of those who've only had a look at the first new episode, but I'm eager to check out the rest them. No disappointments so far - the deep commitment to meta-awareness without a spoiling wink, even after all these years of the clumsy pretenders that followed, seems wholly unspoiled in their universe.

The nose job gag got me, too! Chuckling right now just thinking about it.

Yeah, that's how I am treating it. There were a few laugh out loud moments for me though.

I binged the rest last night. You're probably right about it not being as good, but I don't think I can even judge. It was such a nice surprise that they did another thing and I'm probably just too much of a sucker for the whole schtick. I'd probably watch a recording of 2 hours of a piece of toast if my reward was 5 minutes of Christopher Meloni as Gene.

I am sort of the same way, the show could coast for six seasons on the good will it's built up. I binged it in the first 24 hours of my vacation but the wife, she tapped out on this one.
