The formula is there, but deftly used. The action and locations are spectacular. Diana Rigg is superb.

I like Lazenby. Sure he was green, but he was tough and suave as Bond should be. I liked Moore as the Saint, but could never warm to his glib smoothness as Bond.

would have been interesting to see more Lazenby movies. too bad he only did the one.

for me, I grew up on Moore as bond so to me he will always be my Bond. I did not care much for the Dalton movies. I loved Goldeneye but the rest of Brosnan's run was just, meh! although Halle Berry sure looked good in the bikini. I really like the Craig movies although they do sometimes seem to lose their way

          A few of my favourites:

The Spy Who Loved Me (Barbara Bach was incredibly hot)
          Goldfinger
The Man with the Golden Gun (Britt Ekland also incredibly hot)
          Moonraker
Licence to Kill (I thought Dalton made a great Bond)
Casino Royale (Great first outing for Craig)

Another tough list. My 007 favourites change sometimes when I'm watching them.

2017 list of my Top Five James Bond Movies:

            1. Thunderball
            2. The Man with the Golden Gun
            3. The Spy Who Loved Me
            4. For Your Eyes Only
            5. Octopussy (chosen slightly, by one point, over Diamonds Are Forever and
Goldfinger. The Roger Moore film's cinematography just looks so good.

I grew to really enjoy On Her Majesty's Secret Service.

I also want to give a shout-out to the non official Never Say Never Again, I watched it a lot.

            "Underneath the mango tree..."

            Best Bond Songs-

            are from:

            1. Live and Let Die
            2. Dr. No (score, theme)
            3. The Spy Who Loved Me
            4. For Your Eyes Only
            5. A View to a Kill

I've often wondered about a John Gavin run as Bond. He was cast as Lazenby's replacement, but was bumped by the producers--who ultimately insisted on a Briton in "Diamonds" and "Live and Let Die."

And admittedly, the Moore films made piles of money.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

Gavin was bumped because he was an American of Hispanic heritage.

                  1. You Only Live Twice
                  2. Thunderball
                  3. From Russia With Love
                  4. Man With The Golden Gun

                  5-10 are interchangable.

Goldfinger - Great in parts, but over the years of watching, the Fort Knox stuff has become a groaner
Dr No - Suffers from being first and not having the polish of the formula in place yet
The Spy Who Love Me - One of the best themes and opening, but the premise...yeesh
Licence To Kill - Robert Davi and the story are excellent, but it feels action-generic
OHMSS - Peter Hunt was a master editor and action unit director, but Savalis and Lazenby...
Casino Royale - Could have fit perfectly before Dr No, and that's sort of the problem

I should give a shout out to Octopussy. I do really enjoy that one. It would be 11th on my list. I i think it's the best of the super cheesy, tongue in cheek later Moores. I find it quite funny.

I think Goldfinger is clearly the best one but The Spy Who Loved Me is probably my favourite. I think it's the first one I saw, and it's got the funnest gadgets and Jaws. Super fun flick.

Worst Bond girl...there's a few to choose from

                        1. Tanya Roberts
                        2. Denise Richards
                        3. Bibi Dahl (That awful figure skater in For Your Eyes Only, which I really like otherwise)
                        4. Britt Ekland (Apologies to Bruce Banner, it's clearly a matter of taste)

And there's a bunch of them I've completely forgotten, but at least they don't detract from the film.

I'd go with reverse order for your top 3. Tanya Roberts is a distant 3rd as I don't think she is nearly as bad as the other 2.

                          1. Bibi Dahl
                          2. Denise Richards
                          3. Tanya Roberts
