Removing paint stains from mego outfit

Is there a way to safely remove what appears to be red paint/nail varnish from a Mego WGSH outfit?
    Thanks in advance.

I am not very sure about this, but I guess you can try nail polish remover. It might help.

I know this was posted years ago, but for anyone reading this, nail polish remover is a horrible idea. You will burn holes in your MEGO's clothes. Try soaking for about an hour in stain remover like Oxi-Clean and if that doesn't work use more invasive methods like a dab of lighter fluid on the spot.

You're totally wrong on this. Acetone isn't caustic. Actually, chlorine bleach can do a lot more damage than acetone.
