Plaid Stallions Star Wars sale at Osco

Another newspaper line illustrated gem, this one from Osco.

I never had the Star Destroyer Playset but recently discovered some collectors I know have this weird hate on for it. Was it a disappointing toy?

I had it, and I thought it was pretty boring honestly...The biggest thrill of it was the mediation chamber for Vader...But that didn't make it worth the price tag....

Actually, adjusted for inflation, these figures would be about 6 clams today. Not too far from a sale at Walmart or Target.

That's how prevelent Star Wars toys were...Osco was a drug store, after all.

Bespin Luke and Snowtrooper... both solid choices. Real highlights of the line.
