Leonard Landy -- "Our Gang" dies

Leonard was 84 years old. I absolutely loved "Our Gang" or "Little Rascals." They are absolutely timeless classics. What makes his passing so sad, is there are so very few who are still alive (Robert Blake comes to mind though). Interesting to note, is how much Spanky Mcfarland and Carl Switzer (Alfalfa) totally despised each other during the filming. Best friends on screen -- hated each other off-screen. Hal Roach was a genius though!!! When the movie remake came out in the 1990's, I will never forget one critic's review: "while the film itself was not that bad, the innocence was not there -- you cannot recreate that." How true that is!

I have loved The Little Rascals/Our Gang for nearly fifty years. They have really stood the test of time.

Loved the Little Rascals, as well! I think the only place that it airs in the U.S. is on MeTV on Saturday mornings.
