Found a record/Bettie Page grail

While the toy hunting didn't super pay off for me yesterday I did snag a couple of records I always wanted, this lp has always been something I admired.

Seller at the Flea Market had this on the wall for $100, I turned to CJefferys and mentioned how much I wanted it but not at that price.

Turned the corner and another vendor had it for $30, what was i to do?



I fell in love with Bettie when I was 14 and it was this shot that did it, so I'm picking up a frame this afternoon to do it justice.

That's a sweet acquisition! I love Bettie Page, as well. She embodies everything desirable in a female (IMHO), but with a naughty twist. She's almost a like a darker, slightly warped version of Marilyn Monroe (or maybe Marilyn Monroe is a shinier version of Bettie?). And if PT's a dirty old man, count me in that club, as well.

Yeah, Bettie Page is yummy...beautiful and very sexy. For a long while, I had a photograph of her as my desktop.

That cover is a fine picture of her. One of the best I've seen.

For about 10 years I had a great supervisor who was nearly the spitting image of her. Purrrrr

That was a great find, especially after seeing the first one going for $100 (that first vendor had kind of crazy prices on most of his vinyl and magazines). Bettie Page was truly something else! So what was Mrs. H's opinion, where do you get to hang it?

I think that vendor probably cleans up being next to that dude in a "good cop/bad cop" relationship.

Bettie Page was truly something else! So what was Mrs. H's opinion, where do you get to hang it?

I haven't had that discussion and while i'd like it beside the "hi-fi" that's also where we dine, it's probably going to be the stairwell to the basement. I have this whole Museum wall going on there.
