Only thing that's bugging me about it are the graphics for the video game. Looks like '80s animation, not '80s game graphics. Or maybe I'm missing something.
Anyway, this looks amazing, and I'm happy to see that it looks a tad darker and creepier than S1. Gave me goosebumps! -
Dragon's Lair did use animation. So, you're right! But it was a real game.

Great trailer for Season 2!! Looks like Things in Hawkins are about to get even Stranger! And, yep, "Dragon's Lair" was real (MIB41 and I played it many, many times) and was revolutionary because it used actual animation (I believe by Don Bluth), something video games hadn't done to that point. Plus, Vincent Price's THRILLER narration and laugh over the logo?? Ph'k'n BRILLIANT!! God love the Duffer Brothers!!sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.Comment

Okay, I admit that a whole control panel's worth of my buttons were just pushed - manipulation accepted and embraced!
Man, we dropped so many quarters into Dragon's Lair. It was trial-and-error memorization - left, left, up, down, right, up, left and on and on - but super fun, anyway. I never won it, sad to say, but Todd Ferguson's older brother, Sean, did. He was kind of a hero that day. We all loved the sequel, too. Well, not really a sequel, but the animated adventure that you kind of control thing was used again. What the heck was it called? SF instead of fantasy... Space Ace! Yep.
Man, I'm old!>>> Looking for a few Bif Bang Pow! pretties. Please click to see if you can help!Comment

Thanks guys. I was never a gamer when I was young. Thought it was a waste of money. I played Pac Man, Space Invaders, and a few others, but have never even heard of this game. Glad I was wrong cuz it seemed like a glaring mistake!Comment

The Duffer Brothers gave a list of movies to watch to prep for Season 2 of Stranger Things...
If you’re looking forward to Season 2 of Stranger Things yet are not seeped in '80s culture the way the show is, you have some homework. The Duffer Brothers have listed films for fans to watch.
Matt and Ross Duffer told Leanne Aguilera (Entertainment Tonight) at the 2017 Emmy Awards red carpet show that fans should devour these cultural touchstones: Ghostbusters, Gremlins, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Escape from New York, The Goonies, E.T., Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Alien, and Aliens.
I think I am good, I've seen pretty much everything on there, though some not since the 80s.
