I did, too. I think the first thing I recall seeing him in was "The Trip to Bountiful" with Geraldine Page.

very sad. cause of death not determined yet. he was also the father in the Dune remake I believe

I know him mostly as the father in Home Alone and his multiple appearances in the Law and Order franchise

I loved him in "The Pelican Brief" and "Deceived" with Goldie Hawn. Heard was a VERY versatile actor and VERY underrated! Superb character actor..............

I know him more from the movie Big than Home Alone...as I love Big, hate Home Alone.

He was great in the Cat People remake and the underseen classic Cutter's Way. I also dug him in After Hours.

He was also in the first Sharknado movie. He played the barfly who hit on Nova. A dedication to him followed the closing credits of Sharknado 5 Global Swarming.
