G.I. Joe in Germany: Action Team Catalog

While we were busy playing with our Mike Power Atomic Man figures, German kids were enjoying the Action Team, a variation on G.I. Joe but with more of a paramilitary flavour.

Characters like Tom Stone and John Steel seemed like soldiers of fortune and while they had a lot of the same items North Americans enjoyed, there were a few surprises in their line.

What's wonderful about this catalog is the terrific action scenes the Germans created to sell the line, a great deal of effort went into marketing Action Team
    .

Check out the Action Team Catalog.

I have that exact same catalog. It was included in all of the German issues of the Adventure Team Action Packs like the rescue raft, signal flasher, and sail car. Those were going for about $10 each MIB back about ten years ago when I got mine. The are absolutely identicle to the US versions once you take them out of the box.

VERY COOL! The Action Team stuff is great! It has Gijoe Aventure Team flavor. Basicly the exact same stuff as US release with small changes and Action Man uniform sets added.

Little known fact about Germany, Italy and France producers of Gijoes. Toy companies from these 3 countries pulled their orders together at the toy factory to keep costs low.
