    Dollar Tree Mermaid Sirene

Stopped by the local Dollar Tree and was looking through the toy section for some dinosaur parts,
when I spotted these figures. there isn't much to them ( of course for a $1) but looking
at it, I thought the head was in Mego Scale, so I bought one for a buck
(I figured I could re-use the mermaid tail if anything)

I took it apart when I got home, and here it is next to an OEM Mego Batgirl head for comparison

I then put it on a Female Body to see how it looks

Last here it is on a WIP female Green lantern custom I'm building to see who it looks in a suited body.

All in all I say it a usable head for Army Building...the head is super squishy so that feels like cheap rubber to me,
and the paint job isn't the best quality on the eyes, but for an Alien GL she fits the bill IMHO.
    Not bad for a buck....

Cool! She'd also make a nice Beatriz daCosta with that lovely green hair!

She makes a great GL. I like what you did with the suit, too.

That looks good to me. I am always in the Dollar store trying to find something to kitbash. Good find.

Great minds think alike. I picked up several of these heads myself. I plan on wiping away the face paint and repainting them into animation characters. Hadn't put them on a body yet so really am glad you did, now I know for sure it will work. Custom looks cool!

I work at Dollar Tree and it never even occurred to me that the mermaid heads would work on a Mego body! Thanks for posting this!

              You are all welcome!
Yes, I'm always on the look out for things to fill the parts bin, inspiration always starts there of course.

The GL SUIT is from the RAH Kyle Rayner.....But with a slight cinch done on the back, I think it works better for
her, as an alien GL...I plan to buy a pair of female green prate catwoman boots to finish her, and then pick up
a spare lantern accessory from RRT..

The Dollar Tree is also a great place to get Mego sized Guns & Ninja swords.

Huh, you know those mermaid things are close to identical to the barbie bootlegs that they sell as well. I wonder if that process would work the same.
