Rewatching (this'll be the third time) the first season now. I'm kind of surprised, when I think back, that I was somewhat unimpressed with the show until the fourth or fifth episode. I mean, it's right in my wheelhouse, and I love those early episodes now.

I really couldn't get into it, which is really weird, considering I was exactly that age as a kid and usually dig things like this.
