I fell down a youtube "Donny and Marie/The Brady's" hole not long ago.

Both shows I watched had Paul Williams lip synching "The Hell of it" from "Phantom of the Paradise" oddly enough.

        I ... have no words.
Easily the most perfect 2:35 of entertainment ever produced.

He is a series regular. It's surreal to see him routinely pitch woo at Alice.

The whole thing is surreal. How did they ever convince Robert Reed to participate when he was so unhappy with the sitcom?

So. Wait. Some of the whitest people on TV cover Car Wash as WOZ...

...intentionally or not, it's like they're mocking the idea of The Wiz. That. Is. Nuts.

He probably saw it as a quick buck, by that time he was a pretty established character actor.

That or he kind of dug doing a song and dance thing.

Here it is with the beginning part where Marcia has her WOZ Megos!

I've remembered the skit below my whole. Could quote Paul Lynde's lines. I went looking on You Tube one day and lo and behold I found it.
I thought it was from Donnie and Marie but it's from a Sandy Duncan special.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

I'll be the Brady nerd to point this out: No Sherwood Schwartz attached to this version supposedly had a lot to do with Reed's decision.
"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris Mannix

Ah, yes that would probably be the big factor there. Forgot this was a Krofft joint.
