Here's a lesser known and better IMO version of Stepping Stone by the Raiders. I remember all this sixties stuff from radio as a child. Little did I know then it was all about my age.

Raiders and Tommy James had a similar Scooby Doo type sound.

It's a beautiful day. I remember this song from Knight Rider of all things in the early 80s.

This used to get a lot of radio play in the 1980s. Van Morrison, Them, Doors, lots of recordings of this. This is a lesser known version by Shadows of Knight, a bit slower but still powerful. Unless you have Sirius XM, Youtube, Spotify or Pandora, you just don't hear this stuff any more. Great songs All of em!

I first heard this in 1978 in the movie of the same name, not realizing it was playing for the entire decade live. by The original Partridge Family.

I'll stop now if I'm going overboard. But if I had the ability, I'd grow it again.

great song. I met David Crosby when I was in High School. as part of his rehab he had to give talks to kids about the dangers of drug use. my health teacher entered a radio contest and won tickets to his show and the drug talk for the whole class. of course most of the class had no idea who he was so only a few of us went. I wish we had iphones back then so I could have gotten some pictures, LOL

My favorite artist of all time and one of the greatest songwriters that ever lived...

Neil Diamond's ORIGINAL version of "I'm a Believer" which he wrote.
The Monkees are great but they can't touch Neil

That's a great version. Neil Diamond covering the monkees. Or visaversa. Whichever. A lot of bands covered each other's stuff back then and sounded so great doing it they added to their album. That reminded me of another. Kentucky Woman. And Deep Purple (original lineup) covered it as well as Ike and Tina Turner, River Deep Mountain High. It's great version and pretty lost from the airwaves today.
