If you dig Sweet, check out the modern (is that what I should call a current act?) band, Creem Circus

"she Lied" perhaps the first punk song.

While it was an international hit at the time, I never remembered hearing it.

I don't know if I ever mentioned this here or not,

but- I still can't find the right song I'm looking for,

and, I can't remember it either,

the man sang something about a golden hen, and never did find the right song on youtube.

          It's weird.

I can pretty much identify most songs that I have heard in the past.

                Thanks very much.

I don't think it was any of those songs, but they do give me something new to listen to, since I didn't really know of them before.

The one I thought of might be a cover song to one of those, though, or a variation.

(Sister) Golden Hai(r)? by America. Maybe? What musical style is the one you're looking for? This one is soft rock/MOR.

                    David Geddes "Run, Joey, Run"

Perhaps the greatest video ever made, now available in an easily embeded format so as to share with the world its mighty greatness.

A comment was made that it was done on Glee. I don't watch the show.

I think this song from Peruvian band, Los Saicos came out the same year. Whichever was first, both definitely have the garage/protopunk feel.

                        Thanks.

It could have been about anything.

I can't seem to remember much about it.

When I try to think of it, the song probably leans more toward Country Music, but still could have been a pop song.

I was fairly long ago, it might be about impossible to find, I don't remember what kind of radio station played it, either.

                        Edit-

                        P.S.

That song by America is a really good song.

I forgot to search that one all the years I've been online

I remember hearing it once in awhile, but not recently.

Very nice to re-discover this music.

We got an station in Detroit called 580 AM and they are an oldies station that plays hits from Canada. Sometimes the hits there weren't radio staples stateside. The Poppy family are a good example https://youtu.be/QfeEcCLMtxk

                            Very cool!

                            Thanks very much.

                            I have been missing out.

I'm going to listen to the good stuff from now on.

Impressive quality, and there is a lot of variety found in music from past decades.

There were many elements of creativity and effort involved, and the songs are very pleasing.

It would have been something to experience those kinds of singers, bands and groups in person.

                            I'm getting into all this.

It's so good that the stuff is still available to hear.

So you wanna be Alien too?] Prehaps the greatest hidden jem of all albums. It's a shame no live performances exist of the brief lived band.
