The Undercover Story of Big Jim's P.A.C.K

One of the most charming things about the Big Jim's P.A.C.K toyline is it's use of comics to market to children. They also employed legends to do them. The initial designs were by Jack Kirby and the later giveaway comic book was drawn by John Buscema.

All of the later packaging had comic stories on the back, I've showcased the Torpedo Fist one here but thought it would be fun to look at the origin of the P.A.C.K on the back of double trouble Big Jim's box.

    Let's begin after jump!

I want to add that if anyone can recognize the artist, I'd be in your debt.

    More Big Jim goodness

Fun post!!! Gotta love Torpedo Fist's origin! Very 1970s logic a shark ate his hand so he got a Torpedo fist!

I had never read about how they formed the team. They were a fantastic part of my childhood. Thanks for putting this up!

Very cool! The art looks a bit like Jack Sparling to me.

I have that Bionic Woman comic book. I think it's the one I got signed by Lindsay Wagner.
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

More I look at it, I suspect the artist is Sal Buscema.
