    Photobucket

    Just saw

replacing all my images. So, it's $399 per year now to use Photobucket for your pics?

If that's true, it seems like photobucket wants to go out of business.

Crap, thanks for the heads up. No wonder enyawd72 is testing another image hosting site in Classic Toys. I use the app and had no idea. Which is still working for me. Wow I guess I better find something now too. That sucks the Photobucket app was so easy to use.

Yup, I just got nixed by them today. <Shafted!> So many threads that might as well be deleted now.

What else is out there [free] that will allow us to post images easily here?

I haven't tried these for posting in forums, but I believe there are a lot of other options. Maybe look at Google Photos, Flickr, Dropbox, pCloud...

^^ Flickr appears to be feature rich and seems to support 3rd party usage of many kinds. Thanks for the suggestions.

Yeah but Flickr is owned by Yahoo, which is now owned by Verizon, they could do the same thing. Free wise, Google... I pay and use Smugmug myself.

I just got slammed by Photobucket today. How about a email from Photobucket explaining their move? To be honest I have had many problems with buggy service and difficulty from their site for a very long time. I was planning on leaving and think now is a good time. So slow and behind the times. I'm sorry for their problems but this service is worth to me maybe $9.99 year if fixed but not $399. Only post pics in a few spots and now with FB it's a lot simpler to post images ect so will weigh my options. I do have a Flickr account, just gotta remember it.

Started using imgur after the Photobucket debacle. Free and user friendly.

Man, I just dumped my flickr account and now I'm going to have to drop Photobucket. Gonna have to check out imgur.

I have a Dropbox account, do they host pics though?

Maybe it depends on the ISP, but the internet provider that I use includes a decent amount of web space. I've always used that to host my pics, I have complete control (well, unless I change providers someday!).

I just uploaded pretty much all my pics to Google Photos. Couldn't have been easier, and no ads!

They just clipped me today, time to look around.
                          Imgur is where I'm leaning.

^^ I heeded the good advice shared here and went with Imgur, which is infinitely easier to use and sans the obnoxious clutter of Photobucket.

I should have made this switch a long time ago. Thanks!

Well poop on Google Photos. I thought it was working and then realized that posted pics were coming up as dead links. Guess it's the security setting, but I don't know how to make the pics public.
