    ebay pricing

I bought something off ebay today that was $17.09. They have multiples of this item in the listing, and I bought one. I just went to the auction and they raised the price to $26.39. Since they sold one and have three left, they thought it was a good idea to jack the price about ten bucks. There are more on ebay for seventeen plus change, so they are super high compared to the rest of ebay. Just seems like bad business practice when somebody else was watching the auction. They won't be selling another one very soon!

It may be Ebay manipulating pricing. When relisting these days Ebay suggests pricing on the item that is relisted...if they think it should be higher because the selling or trending prices are higher they will suggest it to the sellers.
