I much prefer Force Awakens because it gave us some characters to care about and root for. Criticisms about it copying the first film are honestly valid, but I don't really care because I got invested in those characters and those actors.

Episode I, II and II has pretty much a repeat story line to IV, V, and VI and episodes VII, VIII, IX will as well. George originally envisioned there to be a history repeating itself type thing and a new trilogy for each new generation.

Movie one hot shot pilot saves the day, movie two hot shot gets reluctantly trained, movie three hot shot tips the 'force balance' to one side or the other.

Yes. TFA isn't perfect, but the characters and performances are so great, with delightful interactions and humor, that you're having such a good time watching it that you forget it's a soft remake of Episode IV. It's so well made, that I'm willing to look the other way with the story and location similarities.

I really care about Finn, Rey, and Poe, and can't wait to see what happens to them.

Having not enjoyed Lucas' Prequel Trilogy overall (yet liking some performances like McGregor's and, more specifically Ian McDiarmid's), and having liked Rogue One a lot and having loved Force Awakens, I can only assume I will enjoy the Han Solo movie... but, who knows?

I have faith that they will get the movie back on track and it will be a good movie. Ron Howard is a solid director. Disney knows they have to get it right.

It's great that they landed Ron Howard...but If you don't get the right Actor to play Han...you've got nothing.

You Guys like to get me crap about predictions of Actors for parts and it's all fun. But think about how many times my predictions came true: Chrisrain Bale, Chris Evans and Henry Cavill as Superman. And Hector, you got to admit you liked Cavill as Superman.

well, why predict a movie will suck, give it a chance and see what they do with it. I am not familiar at all with the actor they cast but as I said, I have faith in the people in charge that they will get it right

I like it too. Obviously the character's name, but saying this is his solo movie, perhaps without Chewbacca for most of it.
