    Just had a 70's flash-back --- what was this novelty toy ?

Was advertised on TV and was like a caterpillar on a string you make climb up walls.

I had one and it didn't work ANYTHING like it did on TV

I think they were called Squiggles. They're still around, but have different names, like Wiggly Worm and such.
Wiggly Worm like at Royal Wedding.jpg
"It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life."

The one advertised on TV was called Squirmles.

That was pretty cool. This guy has obviously been practicing for a long time. No one can do that right after they open the package.

They still sell those things at attraction giftshops, like those Wonder Works places.

My dad sold them, they've had a variety of names. Bought some for my kids at a gift shop in Clifton Hill a few years ago.
