    Super Slickers



    My mom bought me a Sesame Street rain slicker this year (1978), I remember being a little embarrassed wearing it as many of my peers were wearing KISS shirts at this point.


    I honestly would have loved the Six Million Dollar Man or Star Trek ones pictured here.

    I had a very similar Superman slicker. It had the "S" on the chest, but the picture on the back was a Curt Swan drawing of Superman flying over Metropolis. You could see the Daily Planet in the background.

    I wore it many times in my kindergarten year. Unfortunately, I hung it up wet in my closet, and when I went to wear it again sometime later...mold.

          I found a rain cape at a toy show a few years back that was a promotion for "The Bionic Hour" on KTVU Ch.2 in our area. It has a pic of Jaime and Steve running on it.
