Ebay is bad at email

I don't know if everyone gets these but I get a mountain of email from Ebay and it's hilariously bad.

It's weird too because like Amazon, they know what I buy and what i like but something is off with the math. 9/10 Amazon sends me something I'd either buy or I at least get why they sent it to me. The only thing that throws Amazon off are the purchases my mum makes (she won't use her credit card online but mine is fine).

It's getting to where when I read an email with the header "Brian we've got what you're looking for!" i cannot wait to open it.

Here are some of the things Ebay thinks I really, really like and want.

Funko Pops- I've never bought a single one ever nor have i ever looked at one on ebay.
Fidget Spinners- I don't know what these are except they banned them at my kid's school.
A statue of Cobra Commander- I bought some GI Joe Adventure team parts and I guess I love Cobra Commander?
Exxon Mobile Gas Cards- We don't have this in Canada.
Terminator 2 Action Figures- Because I looked at Dark Shadows stuff?

Anyone else notice that these emails are kind of useless and generic?

Ebay are idiots.

I once got an email telling me an item "got away" but there were more chances to get one...for an item I SOLD. Needless to say I was really bummed that I missed out on buying my own item...LOL.

Yeah I get some weird ones, but most are in the realm.

To be fair to the Funko Pops, if you've pretty much bought any sort of pop culture item, chances are there are Pops for that item or something similar, so it doesn't really surprise me that these continually pop up (no pun intended) on those Ebay lists.

I rarely even look at the emails, I just delete them

Yea every email they send me is like that. You would think that with them knowing every purchase i make or sell that they would send me at least ONE email of something that i would consider buying. I have not received a email from them with anything that me or anyone i know would buy. IT's all hilarious

I get Amazon emails all the time (they go right to my gmail "promotions" folder) but never get any ebay emails with recommendations, etc. Not sure why, but I'm ok with that.

The only time I get emails from Ebay is when an auction is about to end or it's over or I get an outbid notice.
