Sad to hear this. He was my favorite Bond.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Sir Roger was everything movies could be, he was the largest actor presence to me in the 1970's and 1980's. He was such a big part of everything in the world. During that time period, I watched his James Bond the most and with multiple viewings. His Bond was so charismatic and so good at leading teams of military men to attack the bad guys.

        RIP Roger Moore.

My thoughts exactly....I just couldn't see any of the others as Bond after Moore and Connery....I still love "Spy" as one of my favorites...the music, the car, the road chase...everything....

Sad news on his passing. By the time Live and Let die came out in 73,
I had seen most of the Connery films. I loved those Connery Bond movies.
I remember living in NYC when they reviewed it on tv. I recall how cool the boat jumps were, and couldn't wait to see it. We soon got HBO, which aired it , and that movie is one of my favorites in the Bond series. I love the chases, the magnetic watch, running over the gators and with the NY connection, well it was just perfect for a kid from NYC. Most of all, I loved him as Bond too.
            RIP Sir Roger Moore

Moore was not my favorite Bond...I rank him behind Sean Connery and Daniel Craig. That doesn't mean I didn't like him as Bond, I did, a lot...but you know me, Mr Serious...that's why Connery and Craig are right up my alley.

But, he was indeed larger than like, suave, sophisticated...and oh so British.

Daniel Craig paid his respects, he released this photo with the following quite:

"Nobody Does It Better - love Daniel.”

                RIP Roger "007" Moore...

Not to do a toy plug right here....But that company that is doing the really nice Connery Bond figure, the expensive one...Well, I hope they will do one of Moore eventually...I would probably buy it....

That story is awesome. Seems true to all the things I've been reading about him.

what a great story. I had always heard he was a great practical joker too. even though he has not really been in the spotlight in years, he will be missed, the world over. they just don't make them like that anymore
