    Flame-off Johnny Storm Kitbash

Hello everyone, here is my take on flame-off Johnny Storm:

Johnny with the rest of the Fantastic Four:

Johnny and his alter-ego, the Human Torch:

    Components used:

    Vintage Mr. Fantastic costume- Ebay
Buff swivel biceps body from Dr. Mego
Repro boots and gloves from Dr. Mego
Steve Rogers head from the Diamond Captain America set

The costume was pretty cheap because it was covered in green stains, but thanks to greensavage2000's Thing suit thread, I was directed to clean him up with some Woolite and a lot of scrubbing. I wanted to use the Steve Rogers head from the Diamond Captain America set, since Chris Evans has played both Johnny Storm and Captain America. I think the resemblance turned out pretty good! Johnny definitely fills out the costume a lot more than Reed does, but he obviously doesn't take care of it as well, since it seems to have some battle damage on the 4 : )

The costume seller also asked to see pictures of Johnny once he was put together, which I thought was pretty cool. Hopefully you all enjoy Johnny Storm!

He goes really well with the rest of the figures. The Steve Rogers sculpt is pretty great, isn't it?

Cool idea! I like it. Other than the slightly elongated neck, that sculpt really has a vintage Mego feel to it.

My only suggestion is you may want to trim down the boots to the same height as Reed's.

It looks pretty cool. I bet a lot of people use this recipe because it's so easy and works. I might myself. When I was a kid I always was disappointed there wasn't a flaming Johnny. I know one day I'd like to do one in his old red uniform.
I get so much out of this site, between the stuff generated by and for the site or the stuff posted here by fellow members I'm very happy if anything I do here helps someone out. It makes me feel like I'm actually contributing so thank you.
