I always liked him. Very strong actor who could overpower other charismatic actors. Curly Bill from Tombstone always comes to mind first for me too.
He had a lot of geek cred as well. He voiced Gorilla Grodd on Justice League/Justice League Unlimited, voiced Lex Luthor at one point in a Superman Animated direct to DVD film, and of course was the leader of the shadowy
"Council" Nick Fury spoke to in The Avengers.
RIP.

I absolutely loved him in the film "Southern Comfort." I loved the tag-line: "It is the land of hospitality, unless you don't belong." He was also wonderful in "The Emerald Forest" which was based on a true story -- excellent actor!Comment

Just finished re-watching HBO's Deadwood a couple weeks ago, he'll always be Cy Tolliver to me..

Think the first thing I remember seeing him in was "Extreme Prejudice" with Nick Nolte....Forgot he was in "Tombstone"...Liked him in "Red Dawn" and "A Breed Apart" with Rutger Hauer, another actor who's stuff I really like....Comment

Sad news indeed RIP Mr Boothe!!!“When you say “It’s hard”, it actually means “I’m not strong enough to fight for it”. Stop saying its hard. Think positive!”Comment
