Is There A System For Hidden Ebay Identities?

They don't hide the Buy It Now IDs. Only items that are actually being bid on.

yeah but like i said it was a buy now with offers

i set up a buy now activated the allow buyers to make an offer

someone made an offer and i went to see what it was... the buyers id was scrambled

i declined the offer and that was that, then the item ended.

this week the same thing happened again only when i went into the offer details the id was full and i was able to click on it and ask the potential buyer a question, i did so and managed to secure a deal via good communication with them - they had not hit the buy now, they had made the simular offer

so i found it all rather odd but it went in my favour in the end so alls good

I've haven't heard of that yet. Maybe someone complained about it and Ebay realized that it was not a good way to communicate and removed the hiding.
