Loose legs and waist on Mattel Retro Superhero.

Any tips for how to tighten the legs of these figures, where they join the pelvis?
The waist was also very loose. Again any tips, would be very much appreciated. Thanks

restring the elastic is what has been discussed here.
I think you could just tighten the legs up with a shorter elastic piece....
I've got several I'm looking to tighten up myself...

Well... Here's a tutorial I made back in the days... Not a video but full of step by step pictures. A bit complex, granted. But your figure will stand a pose guaranteed.

I had bought Darkseid and Martian Manhunter on clearance...wow...the figures sucked.

I have the Darkseid one (the first ReMego I ever bought) but I've kept him carded (for now apparent reason, some stuff I open to display, some stuff I display on card), and never realized until I joined this forum that there were quality issues with the bodies on these. Makes me kind of glad I kept it carded.

Same here! I have a handful of these I was able to pick up at a garage sale a few years back for $2 each. They are all still carded and I am glad they are because, after watching numerous YouTube reviews of these figures, I see how loose they are.

Can the heads from these figures be easily placed onto a Mego body?

I bought a bunch of Cast-A-Way swivel arm bodies when these Mattel figures hit the stores and if I remember correctly, there was very little effort to get the Mattel heads onto those bodies. I don't even think I had to Dremel out the neck holes, but I may have had to just a little.

If I were going to transfer a Mattel head to a "Mego" body these days, I think I would snag a Type S body from Classic TV Toys/ Figures Toy Company for $10.
