      240-Robert.

It lasted a season and a half. It aired on ABC on Monday evenings, the first season, and was often preempted or moved around due to Monday Night Football. It starred Mark Harmon, John Bennett-Perry and Joanna Cassidy.

I have that on DVD, I liked the first episode the best. (Warner Archive)

There is a lot of footage in the series that is taken from the movie Excalibur.

            ---------------

There are many shows that went beyond one series that I liked.

-but, or the low episode count ones:

            Dungeons & Dragons (animated series).
            Tales of the Gold Monkey.
            Kolchak the Night Stalker.
            Space Stars (Hanna-Barbara).
            Blue Thunder.
Possibly, Brim' Em Back Alive (80's), but there is no official DVD to that, to know if I still like it.
The continuation of the background artwork from late 1960's Scooby-Doo Where Are You?

Some shows, I'd prefer they would continue without certain changes or additions.

I also say, bring back Shogun and Noble House as full TV series with seven seasons.

And, I would have liked the Centennial mini-series to have had a spin off series that was all about the beaver trapper, and have Robert Conrad star in that as well.

I want to check out Barbary Coast, I missed that one, it probably only had a season.
-same with a James Garner western series that I missed. (late year western)

Oh, and The Omega Factor had potential. As did Sapphire & Steel.

I also desire that somehow Columbo would have been trapped in 1978 and that all the future episodes were actually all filmed in the 1970's. All in one very long season.

And Planet of the Apes, they had some good farming tips in that one episode, and I love that Roddy McDowell played his 3rd Ape character there. He really was so good as Galen, (and the original 2 Apes). He pushed that hunching over to a breaking point, though, so I don't know what kind of effects that would have had on him for four to six (or more) seasons later.

Some shows probably needed to be cancelled though, in order to have the great science-fiction TV void, to prepare us for Star Trek: The Next Generation in 1987. (30 years this year!)

Other than that, 5 to 10 years of Buck Rogers (25th Century) would have been very cool. (maybe that was technically 2 seasons with Hawkman coming in)

Buck Rogers would have told stories that Star Trek did not tell, and that would have ruled.

There's so many more, but it's hard to remember them all. These are just a few of the comedies I liked a bunch.

Most of the animated series that use to run on MTV would make my list. Most of them were one and done.

Blimey!!! How could I forget the latest addition to my list of shows shown the door far too soon by network suits: Constantine. Keep hoping against hope that the CW will give it second life, but I guess that's not going to happen (even though they could use another show dealing with the supernatural since VAMPIRE DIARIES ended)...

The really annoying thing about "AN's" cancellation is that it *was* renewed for a second season, but then at the last minute, they decided to cancel it and go with a bunch of sitcoms, which didn't go anywhere... But, at least there were the "AN" television movies to give a little bit of closure to the season cliff-hanger...

And, even though they were aired before I was born, there are some shows I discovered on DVD that all were very good IMO, and should have gone on longer than they did... These shows include "The Loner" (a Rod Serling Western starring Lloyd Bridges, aired just shy of a complete season), "The Westerner" (a half season Western starring Brian Keith), and another one I found on DVD and like quite a bit is a show called "The Monroes"...

I do remember Stingray. Ran back in'85 and '86. Was pretty good if memory serves me right.

Another one I ran across while I was thinking about the subject was NOWHERE MAN on The WB with Bruce Greenwood, Megan Gallagher and Bryan Cranston. It was another cool show that ended on a question mark.
