I think Luke's last line refers to truly bringing balance to the Force...meaning Jedi and Sith will have to come together to be something else.

And it also allows a lot of expansion-Disney Style.
I've read my share of the Expanded Universe, but obviously Disney has never heard of it, which is a shame cuz there are some great stories in there. So much they are missing out on!

Yes. The teaser is good.

If they mix the two, they will need to find a way to create a lightsaber beam that is red on one side and blue on the other side. Green and red lightsabers for Christmas!

I think Luke has been on that island, the first Jedi Temple, coming to that realization... That bringing balance to the Force cannot happen outside (in factions), but inside each individual. There must be light and dark in each force user.

Remember when Luke used the force choke on the pig guy in Jedi? I think he has always had a little of the dark side in him.

Maybe he will be the last Jedi, and train Rey to be a balanced force user...

Just chiming in to say...

I'm not watching it!!!! Trying to go mostly spoiler free. Sort of like we did in the 70s and 80s.

We'll see if my resolve will hold out all the way to December.

This isn't an early Wonder Woman teaser/trailer where we needed to know some things to know the basics of what was going on... with WB's early WW trailer, I thought they could've communicated more (especially enough info for a typical moviegoer to feel they were getting a good bead on if WW was going to be another half-baked DCCU film, true or not) but, ultimately, these things are meant to whet the appetite of moviegoers in one way or another.... even if it's a bait and switch kinda thing going on. And WW's newer promo has filled things out a bit, for sure.

That slow burn of WW? It's not what I'm getting from this LAST JEDI trailer...

I've already seen this movie's precursor (TFA), and I loved it.... and TLJ looks to be another homerun. I'm pretty sure of that.

As far as the "mystery" of Luke, and what he's up to... well, he's obviously been disenchanted with "Jedi-ing" since his student went all "Kylo", and obviously he's thinking the Jedi should end.

Glad they didn't tell anything else... the less story revealed, the better IMHO.
