    NES Classic Has Been Discontinued

Nintendo had a bonafide – and apparent surprise – hit on its hands with the NES Classic Edition. But like all good things, its time is done. This afternoon, the company confirmed with TechCrunch that, “Throughout April, NOA territories will receive the last shipments of Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition systems for this year.”

I've still never seen one for sale.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Someone explain this. Do they not like money? Do they hate their fans?

I wanted one for Christmas, but I wasn't about to pay the aftermarket prices. I have no interest in any of Nintendo's other products and their output seems pretty passe among kids nowadays. Way to burn a bridge to built in fans.

I really wanted one of these and I was content to wait until I could find one at retail.... for the retail price and not the scalper price.

It's funny that I can't find the NES classic but have no problem finding their new Nintendo
systems everywhere. The NES sells out while the new system is sitting on shelves after
the initial release in Cen-Cal. Nintendo always screws up and never surpasses X-box and
            Playstations (imo)

Nintendo so botched their sales distribution of this. It's a fun little system, we enjoy it but it's certainly not worth the prices ebay scalpers are asking for it.

For the life of me I can't wrap my mind around this! I know a ton of people personally, including myself, that still want one of these but refuse to pay the scalpers. Seriously Nintendo, do you not want our money? I've never seen a gaming company with it's head so far up it's butt before. I know the big wigs at Nintendo probably don't care, but I will never buy another one of their products after this fiasco of a product launch. You'll have to sell a kidney to afford one of these now! Excuse the rant.

I couldn't find one, so I settled for a retron and an everdrive. Ended up winning.

It's being said it was dropped so they could do an SNES version.

Nintendo has to be the dumbest company.... We were able to get one of these, but I know tons of people that were still trying to find one. What they only have one assembly line for such things?

It's too bad Nintendo didn't mass produce these for 60.00 this is the best thing ever !
We haven't stopped playing with it since we got it . I can't wait until they do the
super Nintendo version next Christmas. The Nintendo switch was in stock yesterday at a
local Wallmart for 299.00 late in the afternoon .
