Rainn Wilson is the new Harry Mudd

A talented guy, I just never would have pegged him for filling Roger C Carmel's shoes. I'm looking forward to it.

I think he's a fun actor. I don't know if he's the right guy for the lovable rogue and schemer.

And not to hijack the thread, but I've always felt we missed out on one or two great final Mudd performances by Mr. Carmel, but the timing of his health issues, I've read, kept him from possible appearances in TNG and ST IV.

I agree, we were robbed of more Roger as Mudd. Really sad he didn't get to enjoy some of the fame from TOS the second time around when TNG become popular.

I'm kind of neutral on Wilson as Mudd. I'm just not convinced we need more by anyone else.

I will be very picky on this one as I spent 3 years on the local con circuit as Mudd undefeated. I even created a story outline for DS9 with me as Mudd that would open the door for unlimited Mudd stories forever, which of course did not require me to say anything. I was close but never perfect at matching his voice.
