Same here. As much as I may enjoy the new films, and believe me, I'm having a blast with them.. I have no itch to collect "stuff" from them. It doesn't hold the same appeal as the vintage goodies. And I've got so much as it is, you reach a saturation point. Well, at least, I do.

Problem is, the vintage market has exponentially skyrocketed, and it's an arm and a leg for even some common pieces. So, I have really slowed down on Star Wars collecting.

Which is fine, because we live in a world of Blu Rays, and 66 Batman stuff, and... Toxic Avenger figures.

I'm actually kinda surprised it hasn't yet, but give them time. I could easily see Jim Shore versions of both STAR WARS and MARVEL characters, some of which could be kinda cool depending on the patterning. I don't buy a lot of what might considered "cutesy" collectibles, but I will admit to having a few Shore pieces which I enjoy, especially his Halloween (the holiday, not the movies) pieces.

Totes agree with you! I am not a quilt fan, but some of Jim Shore's stuff is pretty cool. I'm definitely picky about the ones I like and I usually buy them for my mom as a way to not buy it for myself lol. If they could do a really accurate portrayal of Padme ( which to me is that of a haunted, broken woman) I would totally buy it.

But I hate flowers. :P

But the joke is totally on them because Star Wars fans could easily be in their 50's but we still like the same stuff we did when we were 12. Including eating off paper plates. ROFL
