Even Celine Dion came back to sing the closing song! My mom was the one who caught that since she had a heap of Celine Dion cassettes in the 90s.

So, the "boycotts" didn't work I take it?
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Perfectly stated. Although I haven't seen the film yet, my daughter loved it.

I love when sensibility wins and people vote with their wallets.

It's not how hard you hit, but how hard you can be hit and still move forward.

What I hope movie studios learn from this is you can update a beloved property while still keeping it very close to the original. You don't have to reinvent the wheel and alienate the original audience to attract a new audience. Like they did with terrible Jem, for example, and you end up with a movie no one likes.
