The quality of this video is insane, given that it's 60 years old. I have the entire Festival video, but can't find it online.

The actual King of rock-n-roll. Prince is the only other I can think of that can cut a split one second, then shred the guitar the next. Except Chuck Berry did it first...

A true innovator and originator, and a man who was a "singer/songwriter" before it was a norm in the music business (even referred to as "The Hank Williams of Rock 'n Roll" by Jerry Lee Lewis)...

This leaves Jerry Lee Lewis and Little Richard as the only 50's Rock n Rollers still alive.

Don't forget, of the "major players" from that era, Fats Domino and Don Everly (of The Everly Brothers) are still alive, and Dion DiMucci is hanging in there too (Dion and The Belmonts first hit being in the late '50s, although I guess he'd probably be considered a "60s act" since the bulk of his popularity was from the early 60s onward... And there's Jack Scott, who, although he had a lot of hits back then, seems almost forgotten today...
