When I was in kindergarten back in '71, I called ski masks "Oooh Hats". That's b/c 2 boys in my class had them, and used to chase the girls when they wore them, screaming "OOOOH!" They were in cool colors and had rings around the eyes and mouth. I wanted one and my mom wasn't having it. Instead she bought me a plain white one similar to H but w/ the whole face out. I just rolled my eyes, the boys had the same reaction.

'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."
It's a bit tight, and a bit faded, but I've managed to keep mine all through these years! This was the coolest ski mask ever.
Cool! Great pic!

Thanks, Chris! I'm pretty sure I had the Batman one with the pom pom, because I distinctly remember pulling the strands of yarn out one by one until they were gone.
Another question: what did you guys call these kinds of hats as kids?
My family called them shabagons or tabogans. I'm certain "shabogan" isn't a real word, and tabogan is of course a kind of bobsled, so I'm not sure if that's right either.

I tend to call them "ski hats" nowadays.

I called the top ones beanies and the bottom ones ski masks. Still have my Steelers beanie from the 7th grade. Last time I tried to put it on, I looked like Adebisi from Oz.
You are transparent; I see many things... I see plans within plans.

That is awesome.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
