man I miss how the marketplace use to be a few years back

I'm sure the reason is the FB page but man the market place looks like a ghost town.. I remember getting some great deals here and selling tons of stuff too. It's a shame, but I guess FB has done that to a lot of forums

Facebook sucks! It's almost impossible to sell here now.

People have said before that the FB page has cut into the conversation and trading here, but when I look at the FB page, I don't see much of that going on at all. All I see are sporadic "visitor posts" every few days. What am I missing?

We have two FB pages that Brain created - Mego Mania and Mego Museum Customego. Traffic is good. I have started to adapt, but I don't think I'll ever like the format as much as good ol' forums. It's just not conducive to extended conversations IMO. A lot of "Hey look at this!" and two weeks later you can never find it again. It's also harder to keep any kind of handle on douchy dealings.

My last marketplace ads haven't sold so you have to go elsewhere sometimes to move stuff. But I will always try and sell here first.

It is funny how a group of folks who likes to keep things around forever have adapted to the ephemera of FB.
I can't do it myself. I like being able to research threads and check out the gallery.

I think this was the last for sale post I put in the Marketplace...Read the last bump and that's one of the reasons why the Marketplace has seen less and less action:

                          http://megomuseum.com/community/show...ighlight=joker

Not saying that people are cheap...but anyone that has ever dealt with me either here or at Mego Meet know that my prices are not ridonculous. $40 shipped for a complete all original Joker is a great price in my opinion. BTW, it's still available if anyone is still interested. I'll leave it up in the Marketplace until Sunday...but then it's back in the bin for Mego Meet 2017

I think we are becoming the Marx guys. The market is flooded with common figures, and as time marches on there are less and less of us actively pursuing basic figures like Spider-man, Batman, Joker etc. The less common figures are still holding strong, but lines like Trek and POTA are practically free on Ebay compared to what their value was just a few years ago. A clean, complete Thor or GA will still generate interest, but nobody really gives a ---- about Superman unless it's an early version, or end of the line rarity. Canvas shorts, vinyl capes, foreign releases - that's where it's at. They may bury you with that $40 Joker Berto.
