The ones from Mondas are the originals, and the others assimilated and upgraded like Borg, in subsequent serials?
I kind of want someone to peel back that pink rubber, I bet they're a mess lol.WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.Comment

This is super cool! Seeing the return of an earlier incarnation of the Cybermen was a great idea! I would agree that the current breed of Cybermen look a lot like Iron Man, Mark II (or could that be the other way 'round since the current manifestation of the Cybermen actually showed up in "The Rise of the Cybermen" in 2006, a full three years prior to the first IRON MAN film)....sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.Comment

This is great! Having watched all of the 60s Doctor Who a few years back (including the missing episodes, in reconstructed form), I couldn't be more excited about this. The sock-head Cybermen are indeed quite creepy. I hope they talk the same way as well, where their mouth slot opens up but remains static while they speak in a whining metallic monotone, then closes again.
In terms of Star Trek, this would be like having TNG-era or later crew suddenly run across some original, non-ribbed-forehead, classic series Klingons. How cool would that be?
