    Are the Darren McGavin "Nightstalker" movies available on DVD?

    Since "The Nightstalker" deals with monster types, I figured this was the best place to ask this question...

    Anyway, does anybody know if the Darren McGavin "Nightstalker" movies were released on DVD?

        Are the movies on the TV series DVD set? I was led to believe they weren't, and the two initial movies were on a rather pricey DVD set that is out of print, but you can find it on Amazon:

          Chris you ARE correct. Those are sold on a separate DVD. The series box set is strictly the series. Wow! I had no idea the movie DVD had gotten so pricey. I have that too. Was actually watching it last night. Get out of my head Chris! Brotha from another motha. (;

            ^It's the relatively close proximity.

            I'm sad to say, I've never seen either movie. I've watched the series many times, but never the tele-films.

              Night Strangler is excellent. When you see that film, its clear why they made the series. It encompasses everything that is great about the show.

                and on that note the REMAKE is also on dvd too.

                that show was okay, Loved the McGavin "cameo" in the first episode. series ended on a cliffhanger. Unresolved, just like the BLADE tv show.

                    If only the reboot had been half as good as the original series...

                          Just wanted to say "thanks" to those who replied on page one about my inquiry about the made for TV movies availability on DVD...

                          Also, I've never seen the rebooted version of the show, I don't know if I'd want to now, after learning it ended on a cliff-hanger... I suppose if the other episodes are good it might be worth checking out though...

                            well. if your a DIE HARD fan and need to see anything associated with the Night Stalker, then try it, but if not no worries. It was different, I am guessing that the producers expected to get renewed for a 2nd season, but it got cancelled even before the first season was done. sad. would have been a complete footnote.

                              I am a proud owner of the complete TV series and the double TV movies dvds. Night Strangler is my favorite as well. Besides being located in Seattle, the cast is filled with classic actors Wally Cox, Margaret Hamilton, John Carradine and Al Lewis to name a few. Love the scenes in underground Seattle that look like an abandon ghost town complete with tumbleweeds.
