    How to make a Horta?

I really would like to add the Horta to my Trek collection and I'm stumped on what to use
for the body? and which correct paints to use on that particular surface?

When I first thought about it, It sounded like it should be an easy project, but the more
I try to think of ideas I seem to be striking out, I thought of white styrofoam but I'd like
something a little more solid, so what better place to ask then right here on the museum,
any Horta help is greatly appreciated.

Yesterday we taunted you with a Vulcan Vegetarian dish suspiciously propped against what looked like a Horta. Today, we reveal that our labs have deconstructed the silicon based lifeform of Janus VI and reconstructed it in a delicious, organic form you can serve your entire family. Some people protested that […]

I'd say Magic Sculpt and hot glue should work really well. Maybe some rocks and dripped wax.

Thanks an interesting idea, but sounds a bit messy, and believe me I wrote the book on sloppy messy clumsiness.
I do have superglue both in a liquid and stick form, it's the base surface that has me stumped and what to use for paints?

I do have both a fabric store and art store near my home, so if I can find what I need, I'm thinking these places
would have it, also have a toys r us not to far.

Some-one did a resin one mounted over a little car or some-such years ago.

I'm sure I could sculpt one, I'm just lazy.

Pretty sure one of my dogs has made a Horta once or twice.
