This is a very cool custom, any thoughts on possibly painting the blue around the eyes to match pic?

No because that look was only around for an issue or two, I had forgotten it even existed to be fair. The Fly's outfit changed a lot, so did his name and so did his powers. I kind of based him on the stories i remember where he looked like this

Oh, i love this. I bought several issues of The Fly during the Red Circle/Archie Adventure revival of the early 80s, and I really enjoyed them. A few had reprints from the Simon & Kirby days. I never understood how they left him out of Remco's Mighty Crusaders line!

I remember being really ticked about that in the 80s, they released villains that honestly nobody wanted but The Fly doesn't get released? Made no sense.

The Impact Fly series by Marks Waid and Parobeck was fantastic as well. Any chance you'll eventually do customs of those versions?
