    RIP Miguel Ferrer

    Miguel Ferrer Dies: ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ & ‘Crossing Jordan’ Star Was 61

    Miguel Ferrer, who had played Owen Granger on NCIS: Los Angeles since 2012 and co-starred with Jill Hennessy on CBS' Crossing Jordan, has died.


    Bummed to hear this. Always enjoyed seeing or hearing him in his many roles. Great character actor.

    He was a big comic fan, and he had lots of roles in genre films and TV shows. Badguy in Robocop. Vice-President in Iron Man 3. Voice of Aquaman and Weather Wizard on Superman: The Animated Series. The list goes on and on.

    He was the son of Jose Ferrer and Rosemary Clooney, and cousin to George Clooney, as well.

    Rest in Peace.

      i just read this as well. sad news. another gone too soon to cancer. he was a great character actor. RIP!

              Sad news as another celebrity passes before their time. Yes, he was played a great, slimy worm in ROBOCOP, but I remember him more as Lloyd Henreid from THE STAND and as Agent Albert Rosenfield from TWIN PEAKS, a role I believe he just wrapped in the upcoming Season Three on SHOWTIME.

              RIP, Mr. Ferrer. Peace and condolences to your family, friends and fans...

                  OMG! I'm in tears! I knew Miguel but I haven't seen him a quite a few years, and I didn't even know he was sick. He used to play in Billy Mumy's band The Jenerators, and I would go see them once a month for a few years. He would introduce me to people as "the band's biggest fan". He gave me one of their CDs before it was released to the public. He liked to play the hard-nose and would even put on that front in public, but he was such a sweet man, always there for a hug. I'm stunned beyond words.

                  RIP, my friend. I love you. I'll miss you.

                          I remember him mostly from The Stand and as the navigator of the Excelsior in Star Trek 3

                              Wow, Sharry, this is one of the few times a celebrity death has equaled a personal loss here. I'm very sorry. He seemed like a really cool guy.

                                      I'm sorry to see him pass, terrific character actor and a welcome addition to anything you were watching. He played the main villain in the busted Justice League pilot (which was kind of a take on the Weather Wizard) then he played the Weather Wizard on Superman TAS. Coincidence? I think not.
