    cold cast metals

Is anybody interested in items made from cold cast metal? Brass, bronze, nickle/silver, aluminum, and copper are all available. It might be cool to have actual metal stuff for the figures. It would be heavier than plastic or resin. The aluminum would look cool for guns, armor, knives, swords, and such. Any interest in that type of thing?

I'm sure it's more durable than the resin castings. It's resin with metal powder. You have to use steel wool to buff the resin off and expose the metal. It's really cool looking, but I can't think of many uses. Maybe robots...

It might be nice for a Robotman or Dr. Doom head, too, The weight might work against it, though,

I make hollow heads, so it wouldn't be very heavy. Doom is who I thought might be good with the nickle/silver. Brass for Robotman. Aluminum for Silver Surfer and Colossus. Cyborg and Deathlok would be good heads to make metal, too.

The only powder I know where to get locally is bronze powder. So I made heads for Baron Karza and Force Commander. I think they came out nice. Now I need to get some aluminum powder to make guns and knives out of.

Wow those look great. It would be good for acceriores and heads. A Doctor Fate helmet and amulet or a eye of agamotto. Certainly weapons but all kinds of things. It'll make cool replacement heads for the regular micronaut guys. A bronze Pharoid head would look cool. I'm very interested in seeing how the aluminum powder will look. Thanks for sharing this.

THose came out very nice. Maybe Star Trek Phasers and Communicators would be nice? Armor and Heads for armored characters?

Those do look really, really nice. Maybe it's my imagination (or a super-good mold), but it looks like the metal powder might allow the resin to pick up cleaner details? Be sweet to use that for a wide variety of Iron Men.
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

I just bought some aluminum powder from ebay. I think I'll like it even better than the bronze.
