Throwing my hat into the customs ring...

I've decided to put my art/modeling skills to work on custom figures...I'm going to produce a line of high quality 8" Universal Monsters with all new original hand painted card art.

First up will be Lon Chaney as Kharis from "The Mummy's Tomb"...I have just received the all new head sculpt and am modifying a custom tall "chunky" body for him.

    Stay tuned...

sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

The foam sheeting arrived today...this is a thin, ultra flexible plastic foam sheet which can be cut to any shape and glued to the body in layers to achieve the desired thickness. I'll be using it to thicken Lon's midsection and bulk up his shoulders. The beauty of it is that it involves no sculpting, is lightweight, and won't hinder the articulation. It's thinner and more supple than craft foam.

Also waiting on my Type S glow body to arrive...I need the swivel elbow for Kharis' limp right arm.

Looking at various micro textile fabrics for the bandages.

Hand painted card artwork is nearly finished...will post pics tonight!

I'm really trying to recapture that look and feel of great toy art from the 1970's-80's
