Giant (3ft) vinyl Baltan Ultraman Villain. So Rad.

Anyone else keep an item in their watch list for (literally) years then finally find themselves in a spot to take a chance on it?

That's my story on this guy.

I was in initially put off by the shipping price and the uncertainty created by the mismatched pics in the auction (I ended up sending the seller pics of mine once it was assembled and he chose to use them in the listing going forward.)

It's a recast/bootleg of an old Kaiyodo vinyl model kit that, fortunately, assembled just like a giant vinyl toy.

He's about 33 inches tall and technically poseable at the waist, mid arms, and wrists.

I'm sure I'll get around to painting him someday.

I now find myself in the market for a megoesque Ultraman or an amazing deal on a popy.

    8" T2 Spiderman for scale.

Supercool!!! I'm digging your *monster meeting* in the background too… you have a whole Ackerman-vault-vibe going on there!

That's very cool, and it's going to look amazing when painted. By the way is that
Mr. Richard Milhouse Nixon standing in front?

I don't know what it is, but I always forget that I start posts and inadvertently abandon them...

Oh man, Dwayne would make this thing look amazing but I'm sure I'd just be wasting his time w/ my budget compared to his talent.

If/when I paint it I'm sure I'll just keep it simple.

Hell, I've grown used to it bare white.

              Thanks!

There certainly is a lot going on in my place.
I figure I should do it big while I have the space.

As a life-long mask fan I decided long ago that a classic vinyl Nixon is a mandatory standard addition to standing mask collection.

Is that an old Herman Miller chair he's posed on?

Man that is sweet. A very nice piece. I love the vintage Ultraman series. Definitely something always on my radar. Congrats on the score.
