Dirk Gently

While I did enjoy the pilot episode to this show, I found myself wondering what Adams would have thought of it. While he certainly didn't shy from satire of over the top violence, I don't really recall any of his stories having quite the thirst for blood that this pilot does. Aside from the name of one of the leads, the general scattered interconnectedness of whatever the plot is, and a brief mention of a sofa and Thor, I don't really see any resemblance to Douglas Adams' story here. It is a fun ride, tho.

yeah, it's definitely not the novel's Dirk Gently, but I'm quite enjoying the series so far.

I've always been fascinated by Dirk Gently's story origins in unaired Doctor Who scripts.
