Almost forgotten and obscure Halloween cartoons and specials.

    Legend of Sleepy Hollow (1972)

    Narrated by John Carradine

Post away! Have fun and Happy Halloween.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

As a kid growing up in the 80's, this version of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow was something I looked forward to every year around the Halloween season. It starred a young Jeff Goldblum as Ichabod Crane.

Oddly, I don't recall many Hallowe'en specials except for Great Pumpkin. I like the Disney and Goldblum Sleepy Hollows.

I suppose my other favorite is Judd Hirsh's "The Hallowe'en That Almost Wasn't".
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

They used to play this movie every year around Halloween in the 70's - even though there's not much of a connection

Cool. That was always a favorite of mine too.

The Halloween that Almost Wasn't and the Witch's Night Out.

The Witch's Night Out is a little weird and totally 70s.

In quick reply click on the "insert video icon" (it looks like a little film strip) and copy the url into the box in the pop up.
